QBDT: Create & Export Profit & Loss by Class (One File per Class)

Goal​

Export one Profit & Loss by Month file for each Class you want to analyze in BizVisualizer.

For Class-based data, you only export Profit & Loss reports (not Balance Sheets).

Step 1: Start from your memorized P&L Totals report​

  1. Open your memorized BizVisualizer P&L Totals by Month report
  2. Click Customize Report

Step 2: Filter for a Class​

  1. Go to the Filters tab
  2. Select Class
  3. Choose one Class

While still in Customize Report:

  1. Go to Header & Footer
  2. Update the Report Title to include the Class name

Example:
Profit and Loss - Residential

tip

Matching the Class filter and the report title reduces mistakes when exporting multiple Class files.

Click OK.

Step 4: Export​

Export to Excel (or CSV) as usual.

Save with a name that includes the Class. For example:

PL 2023-01 to 2026-01 - Residential.xlsx

Step 5: Memorize the Class report (one-time setup)​

  1. Click Memorize
  2. Choose New (do not overwrite your Totals report)
  3. Name it clearly, such as:

BV PL Totals by Month from 2023-01 - Residential

Repeat for each Class you want to export.
